How do I receive a Paid Registration Bid to The U.S. Finals?
First, it is important to note that not all qualifiers will be giving out PAID registration bids to The U.S. Finals. Some event producers award only 1st – 5th place bids. Please contact the event producer directly or email info@theusfinals.com to inquire. PAID bids are awarded to the most deserving teams based on judges' decision. This does not have to be highest score. Each bid-giving event producer has the authority to decide how the PAID bid(s) will be rationed throughout the various levels and divisions. Although PAID bids do not have to be awarded to the highest scores of the day, first place teams DO have priority. A second (or third, etc.) place team can receive a PAID bid, but only if the team who placed ahead of them in their division received one too (whether from that qualifying event or a previous qualifying event). All teams who have received a PAID bid at another qualifying event will not be able to receive another one. Once a paid bid is handed out, it may not be transferred to another team. If a team decides not to use the PAID bid, then the bid becomes null and void. |
| |
Can we change our Qualifying Bid?
Yes! Each team's registration fee will be based on its BEST placing finish at a qualifying event. If you attend several qualifiers throughout the season, The U.S. Finals will accept your HIGHEST placing finish. If you register your team under a 2nd place bid, then later receive a 1st place bid, a Bid Upgrade Form will need to be submitted by the coach and The U.S. Finals will refund any money owed for the difference. Coaches, please call 1-877-5-FINALS to request access to the online Bid Upgrade Form. |
| |
What is the Addition policy for The U.S. Finals?
Additional athletes may be added to your team, so long as the addition does not change your original qualifying division. The one exception is if you are dropping a male from your team and it changes your co-ed status. Any participant registered over the number of athletes originally qualified for each team must pay 3rd place bid pricing. |
| |
Does The U.S. Finals allow crossovers?
Yes! However, The U.S Finals does not designate a special crossover rate for athletes on multiple teams. The reason for this is because every team earns a bid, and prices are associated with that team's specific placement at their qualifier. Therefore, the crossover athlete will always be required to pay the registration rate associated with his or her team's qualifying bid. |
| |
Can my athletes compete in Cheer and Dance?
Yes, unlimited crossovers between cheer and dance are allowed. Athletes may perform on both cheer teams and dance teams, if they so choose. Teams will still be responsible for paying the registration rate consistent with each team's qualifying bid. |
| |
How many times do we compete?
In an effort to keep expenses down and allow teams to enjoy their U.S. Finals destination of choice, all teams will compete only once at every U.S. Finals location. In some locations (Indianapolis, Anaheim, and Virginia Beach), the event will last two days simply because we are expecting so many teams that we could not fit all of the performances into one day. Rest assured, all teams compete only once at every location! |
| |
Are International teams able to compete?
Yes, international teams are welcome to compete at The U.S. Finals. All international teams will be required to pay the 1st place bid pricing due to the additional costs associated with travelling to the United States from abroad. Please contact mady@theusfinals.com for more information. |
| |
Are Special Needs teams able to compete?
Yes, and we LOVE to have them!! Special Needs teams are not required to earn a bid in order to perform. We are happy to extend an open invitation to any Special Needs teams to come and participate in The U.S. Finals FREE at any of our Regional Championship sites! |
| |
If my team earns a paid registration bid, do we have to pay the $100 per team processing fee?
Yes. All teams are required to pay the processing fee which is $100 per team. If your team has a paid registration bid, then this $100 processing fee is the ONLY cost that your team is required to pay to participate at The U.S. Finals. |
| |
What if I am attending a qualifier event that is AFTER the registration deadline for the U.S. Finals event that I want to attend?
If you DO NOT already have a bid when the registration is due, we will waive the $100 late fee and accept your registration after you have earned your bid. If you DO already have a bid, then you should register your team(s) under their current bid by the registration deadline in order to avoid paying the $100 late fee. If your team receives a higher bid after you have paid and registered for The U.S. Finals, then coaches can call us at 1-877-5-FINALS to request access to the online Bid Upgrade Form. All Bid Upgrade Forms must be submitted online PRIOR to your U.S. Finals event, and will not be accepted after your team has competed. All refunds are returned to the customer in same form that they were received. If you pay by check, you will be refunded by check. If you pay by credit card, you will be refunded by credit card. Refunding by credit card is a quicker process, but please note that there is a 3% administrative fee on all credit card transactions. Refunding by check can take up to 30 days. |
