The U.S. Finals Gains Momentum with Experienced Director!
official pressrelease

The U.S. Finals is moving forward with full speed with the recent addition of an integral member to its already diverse team of spirit professionals. The JAM Brands and NLCC is pleased to announce the addition of Jessica Wilson as Executive Director of The U.S. Finals.

Jessica most recently served as the JAMcare Dance Representative and Judging Coordinator for JAMfest in Louisville, KY. The JAMcare team currently serves as the customer service provider for all customers of JAMfest, as well as The JAM Brands. Jessica officially joined the JAMfest staff upon graduating with a degree in Journalism from the University of Kentucky in 2004. Throughout her tenure at JAMfest, she was able to gain experience and involvement in a variety of departments ranging from event planning to customer service. Her wide range of experience related to the overall production of spirit competitions makes her an ideal fit for Executive Director Position at The U.S. Finals.

Aaron Flaker, Co-owner of The JAM Brands and President of The U.S. Finals says, “We couldn’t have found a more perfect fit for this position. Jessica is well aware of the level of quality we expect and has first hand knowledge of the ends and outs of producing events. More importantly, her dedication to building relationships and providing customers with excellent service makes her a great addition to this team.”

Jessica will work out of the new U.S. Finals office in Louisville, KY. She will manage the everyday operations of the company, serve as the main point of contact for customer service issues and work to bridge the communication of all participating companies as their visions come together to produce one.

“I am extremely excited to have the opportunity to work for The U.S. Finals. I understand that this is a responsibility not to be taken lightly and I am ready for the challenge of taking things to the next level,” says Wilson. “The NLCC has done an outstanding job laying down the foundation and developing the ultimate end-of-the-season all-level event. I am extremely lucky to be walking into an event with proven success.”

In May, The JAM Brands announced its official partnership with the NLCC as The U.S. Finals was revealed. The U.S. Finals is a multi-brand, all-level U.S. Championship event and is the offspring of the hugely successful Final Destination. Final Destination grew to become the largest, multi-brand event in the U.S. Thus far, twenty-six partner and associate companies are on board to offer more than 220 U.S. Finals qualifying events throughout the 2008-2009 season.

“I am eager to dive in and start working with all of the Partner and Associate companies,” says Wilson. “It’s refreshing to see so many different companies uniting for a common cause and working together to give their customers such an incredible opportunity. The spirit industry is going to love what they see from The U.S. Finals in 2009, and that’s something you can count on.”

The U.S. Finals is set to produce four events in four cities across the nation in 2009; Las Vegas, Oklahoma City, Cincinnati and Virginia Beach. Upon the conclusion of its final event in May, the division winners will be taken from every city and a U.S. Champion will be crowned in all levels of school, rec and all-star cheer and dance.

Flaker adds, “I am confident that Jessica will exceed all expectations as Executive Director of The U.S. Finals and I am excited to give her this opportunity.”
